Buckin' The Bow-Tie
Hello everyone! My name is Grant Peterson and I work for Classic Trucks Magazine. Mike Mackie dropped me an email today in support of the '68 F-100 project I've started that'll be shown through out it's course in the magazine. I don't claim any brand loyalty since I've built/owned/loved/hated too many old cars, trucks, hot rods, customs to plant my self in one's camp perminatly, but have recently grown to like the '67-72 Fords more than I ever thought was possible! there is an introductory feature in the current (September) issue of Classic Trucks on page 68 that I called "Buckin' the Bow-Tie" that outlines my plans for the F-100.
I'm really excited that I own one and can't wait to get cracking on it!
Also, my truck is a shortbed flareside that has about the straightest original bed I've ever seen on it, but I want to put a styleside on 'er. So if any body wants to trade or buy mine let me know!
thanks,
Grant [/b]

Welcome. I like the catchy phrase (Buckin the Bowtie). I used to be a Bowtie man but I couldn't afford the starters they ate.

re: Buckin' The Bow-Tie
Welcome to the site Grant. Glad to have you aboard. You came to the right place to brush up on your bumpside knowledge. If your the guy I think, there was a lot of discussion on your plans for the truck already. Enjoy the build and your truck. And since you named your project "Buckin' the bowtie" can we assume you won't be using a SBC? Keep in mind there is a lot of loyal Ford fans here and I see you are not brand specific, so please don't get offended easily. There are a lot of strong beliefs on FORDification.

Hi Grant.
Just when I was about to let my subscription expire due to lack of Ford content.
I haven't seen the issue yet, but I am looking forward to it.

Welcome aboard and you just got another subscription to your mag. I too have never subscribed due to the lack of the Bumpsides. Can't wait to see the project in its progress. I am just starting a 69 styleside myself so I'm sure your project will help in mine.
