THANK YOU!!!

Post by 67f250_irv »

First off, I have to say Thank you for having such a great site with such a great group of helpful folks. I have been working on my 67 f250 for many years. The last time I drove it was July of 94. I'll share pictures as soon as I get a chance.

So I was walking aroung the 2006 F-100 Supernaturals, and I ended up talking to a guy who directed me to your site. We were talking about my issues with truck doors. I purchases a set original factory replacement doors before I realized there was a difference with the 67 (I know, I was young!!!). He told me that he had seen a step by step direction of how to change a non-67 door into a 67 door. I have been looking everywhere and can't find it. The only thing I have found is a statement than changing doors to 67 doors requires major surgery. As I am looking at the two doors side by side, I can see where that would be true, but before I do something drastic like looking for a third set of doors, I thought I would ask. You know the car guys trust....I can't believe the guy would make up something like that.....

Anyway, Let me know....Sorry to ramble

Hello and Welcome from Texas, Keith just explained this 67 to 68-72 door converstion not long ago but I can not locate it to send to you. Maybe he will jump in with it for you. I am just going from memory here and I was not paying a lot of attention but I am pretty sure he said to just find 67 doors. Please wait for him to confirm or deny this and explain why. Glad to have you aboard and I wish I could have been more helpful

:wel: :fr: Good luck with your doors! I'm sure somebody knows how to do the conversion. Maybe a thread in the body section might render results. By the way, my sister used to live in Kenwood, Ohio.(or is it Kentwood? I don't remember.) :D

Welcome from Missouri! Where are all the smart guys when we need them? :hmm:  I too, am lost as to the mods needed, but I know where there's a '67 near here. I'll check it when I'm out there this week. They are usually pretty reasonable on prices here. Good luck.
