newbie, did i get burned or score a decent truck?
Hi, I know this forum is for '67-'72 "bumpsides" but i find a lot of the info is just as applicable to the '73-'79 "dentsides" so i hope you don't mind my presence here, i just bought a '75 hi-boy and have already found the info available on here invaluable, so kudo's for such a great site!
I find the diversity of opinion on here very interesting and just wondered if you guys think i scored a decent truck or got reamed...
I just picked this rig up for $1,200 (guy was asking $2,000) 1975 ford f-250 4x4 hi-boy, 166,000 miles (was told original) 360c.i. np435 4-speed, np205 (gear driven) dana 60 rear (full floater) dana HD44 front (has the 5" hubs) and 4.10 gears, PS (w/hydraulic ram assist) PB (4-wheel drum) 2 auxillary saddle tanks (20 gallon each) 4 new tires (LT235/85x16) interior is decent with the exception of the floorboards which are shot (need to weld in replacements) bed is solid, body has some rust issues e.g. rear wheel wells, cab corners and door bottoms, but the drivetrain is solid and engine runs strong so i just bit the bullet and over looked the rust issues knowing i could deal with those down the road as long as the mechanicals were all in good working order right now.
I'm not much of a "computer guy" and i can't seem to get a pic to upload on here but i have some on photobucket you can see (i think)....if not i apologize in advance.
Well that's it for now i guess, great site! great info! keep it up!

Shoot....the drivetrain is worth almost that much!!
And, on photobucket, under the pic, use the [img] (3rd line down) and any of your pics will be hosted into your messages. Just hi light the whole code, copy/paste, and it'll appear on your thread. Make sure the [img] and [ /img] are at each end.
