Correct tire size for F250

I want the biggest possible bad boy mudders for my 1971 F-250.

Dana 60 front and rear.

Dana 24 T-case.

3.73 gear ratio.

3" body lift.

3" suspension lift.

What would you guys/gals suggest? Size? Brand? Style?

If you go real tall your gearing (HP) is going to suffer. I ran 39" mickeys on another Ford and ended up regearing it with 4.56 to get HP back where it needed to be.

I also run 35" on my Toyota with 5.29 gears and the speedo is still under by 4MPH. Kills me going up highway hills.

If you really have 6"s over stock you should clear 40"s or so with not much cutting.

What you are doing with the truck sure has more impact on what tires to recommend than how big you can fit. I like BFG muds for the street and mild offroad or boggers for offroad only.

I would suggest 31" tires to go with your 3.73 gears.

My 67 came w/ 4.56 r&p and 30 9.50 16.5, lets just say it was no speed machine, I want to go 35's w/ the 4.56's. May be 37's I think they'll clear the stock High boy suspension.

35" is pushing it for clearence with the stock suspension. They will rub if you bend it up. I run 33" on my Highboy.
