It is time to change from REDNECK humor to TRUE AMERICAN Humor!
Only it isn't seen as HUMOR, but the correct way to LIVE YOUR LIFE!
If you feel the same, pass this on to your True American friends.
Y'all know who they are...
You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
It never occurred to you to be offended by the phrase, 'One nation, under God.'
You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You've never protested about seeing the 10 Commandments posted in public places.
You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You still say 'Christmas' instead of 'Winter Festival.'
You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You bow your head when someone prays.
You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You stand and place your hand over your heart when they play the National Anthem.
You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You treat Viet Nam vets with great respect, and always have.
You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You've never burned an American flag.
You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You know what you believe and you aren't afraid to say so, no matter who is listening.
You might be a TRUE AMERICAN if:
You respect your elders and expect your kids to do the same.
If you got this email from me, it is because I believe that you, like me, have just enough TRUE AMERICAN in you to have the same beliefs as those talked about in this email.
God Bless the U S A ! Amen
AND YOU ARE A TRUE AMERICAN, IF YOU THINK THE NATIONAL ANTHEM SHOULD ONLY BE SUNG IN ENGLISH
TRUE AMERICAN

Re: TRUE AMERICAN
seems to me as that i was born here i guess i qualify as american but the people who built this country for the most part were not. i doubt they spoke english at first either. we got the most goodies so of course everybody wants to live here. duh. america wasn't built on hate and fear of difference. anybody who is lazy should be called on it born here or not. anybody who busts ass for america should be considered an american and the language argument is getting old. my family is irish and czech in background and i bet they knew more about america and did more for it than i have. right place right time is all i have to show for my citizenship. think you could pass a citizenship test? i don't think i could. getting tired of a lack of respect for the older generations but also for people with outdated and imho, uncalled for ideas about what national pride and rights as citizens are. maybe i oughtta stay out of the humor section. the deeper I go the less I laugh. as far as the bit about knowing what i believe in and not being afraid to say it I believe that point is proven. I can take a joke but insulting people for the sake of itself is not humor. I don't care where someone was born or what they speak. If they work hard and fight for us they are one of us. soapbox put away now.

Re: TRUE AMERICAN
give the give it a rest a rest. you had a valid point. answering each message individually like this with "give it a rest" isn't terribly efficient. I said what i felt and i am done. let's let it be, shall we?

Re: TRUE AMERICAN
i wondered how it got in humor myself and i thought politics and religion were verboten here. Oh damn. no offense intended with the non-American language use.
no offense to german Americans either. Gosh. How come it is so easy to offend those who tell me to keep out of the [censored] if I can't take the heat?
Seems we have a no win sitch here. I apologize for even bringing any of this up. Obviously it is wasted effort and precisely why I will not disregard the rules on post material or reply to others who have done same. I goofed and stirred the pot.
Mea culpa. Dammit I did it again with the language again. Sorry. Pardona mua. Oops again. I'll just hush now. Ciao.
