Can someone help me identify my transmission?

Post by kaliona »

I just picked up a '67 F100 but the number on the transmission tag isn't listed on the Transmission Application Chart in the tech section.
The tag reads "PFB C" with "010575" below it. My VIN tag indicates the truck came with a "G" code transmission, which I understand is a Cruise-O-Matic.
I don't know if the PO swapped transmissions so I just want to know what I actually have. I've attached pics if it helps.

Also if it is a Cruise-O-Matic, is that a 3 speed? If it needs rebuilding, should I stick with the same, or go with a C4 or C6?
Thanks

Here's the tutorial where you can ID it by looking at the pan.

It is either an FX Cruisomatic or an MX Cruisomatic. I can't tell by the picture nor by the tag info. Best guess is MX.
