72 F250 390 C6 Auto Floor Mount Shifter
I want to put an automatic floor mount shifter in my truck. I have looked at the Lokar brand but I have no idea what size stick to get or if Lokar is the best or only choice. I want to put bucket seats in the truck and probably a custom center console. Any ideas on what is best?

I put this one in my truck in a matter of a few hours, and love it. Don't have to reach real far to grab a hold of it being that it's made for a truck:

thanks for replying Jeff that B&m one looks cool! I also saw a Hurst one that looks really cool too..http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HUU-3 ... Type%7cC-6 i think i want to install a Falcon console or something like it .. i checked with a Lokar dealer and basically before i decide on a shifter he recommended I get my seats in first so I know what shifter will work best.. I am looking at putting in mustang bucket seats with a headrest..

You could not pay me to put any cable operated aftermarket shifter in anything. It only took one side of the road taping together all my 1/4" extensions to make a shifter linkage after the cable blew up episode for that fiasco to go in the trash.
None of my other experiences have been good with them either. Shift detents don't line up, cable routing causes them to fail.
OEM floor shifter are nuts simple but youhave to modify or get the correct bellcrank for the tranny so it'll shift P-1 instead of 1-P

I'm curious about this as well, I like the clean look of the mr gasket one (7668), and its linkage operated. But there's no lockout... which leads me to the Lokar, but that is twice as much.

My truck had a floor shifter in it when I got it. I like it and haven't had any problems with it. The shifter is 15" tall and it feels comfortable using it.

Post a picture of it and maybe we could get together
I'm a long ways from doing the interior and I do drive the truck here and there. You're in SD?

Cool! I drive up the coast every once in awhile. Maybe, I can plan another trip up there.
I am looking for a original bench seat that's in good shape. This being, I'd have it re-done while I was sitting on the other one. The springs came apart on the driver side of mine and seem to hook my pants where it matters!
Started duct tapping the seat last week.
