Anyone know if the stepped direct clutch pressure plate from Broader Performance can be used to upgrade a 4 clutch to 5? It says it upgrades a 3 to 4. I would like to get 5 clutches in there with out machining a new groove or buying a pre-machined drum. $25 is an attractive price
If not, oh well. The trans I'm building started out in a passenger car and only had a 3 clutch drum. I had a 4 clutch on hand, so at least it will get a little upgrade for sure.
Oh, and can someone tell me the cons of deleting the wave plate in the back of the forward clutch in favor of a 5th friction?
