I would like to paint the under side of the hood on my '67. I not want to drill out the spot welds and separate the framework from the skin.
That said, is there a reasonable way to prep/coat the surface rust in the areas I cannot reach?
In lieu of a better idea, I'm going to do my best with mechanical cleaning, then use Rust encapsulator from Eastwood.
I'll follow that with shooting through the holes with black, and the rest of the surface with color matched paint.
Also...
What is used to reglue the panel and frame together. It has come loose and I'd like to fix it.
Thanks for your input.
