99 Explorer question
My wife took me to the pull-a-part to get an electric mirror for her Explorer. The only one I could find was on a door that wouldn't open. Didn't appear to have been wrecked. I got in on the other side and the inside handle was broken. I managed to get enough of the panel pulled back to reach inside the door and pull the rod attached to the handle. Still no luck. Anyone got any idea how I might get it open without tearing up something I have to pay for and don't need?

The power lock actuator might be sticky ?
With the door panel out of the way maybe you could work the lock rod with some vice grips.
if you can get the inner panel out of the way maybe you can remove the mirror with the door closed. ?
There is probably a reason the handle is broken.

Re: 99 Explorer question
Good idea I thought about the vise grip deal last night. I couldn't get the panel all the way off because I can't get it loose between the end of the dash and the door. And that is also where I need to get it off to get to the mirror.
Besides, it was well over 100 degree index outside. And more than that inside the vehicle.
