overdrive compatible?

I know what you are saying I felt the same way when I was deciding what trans to sue in my Cummins swap,but after many conversations with AverageF250 and hours of playing with
online gear calculators and the difficulty in finding a small block ZF I went with the M5 .When I had it apart on the bench and saw the construction/design I had much more confidence
in it and after 6,000 miles and 3 heavily loaded trips to the high country later I am even more confident,but I am still looking for a ZF just in case.
I am sure that my truck is more than the M5 was ever designed to move around so I am real easy on it and don't bang gears or dump clutches...being easy on it is still asking a lot of it,
but after the way it has behaved for me I would have a lot of confidence in one in a lighter truck.

The T-85N is a tough tranny. Yes, you can operate it as an ordinary three speed if you pull the overdrive cable to the full out position.
