online gear calculators and the difficulty in finding a small block ZF I went with the M5 .When I had it apart on the bench and saw the construction/design I had much more confidence
in it and after 6,000 miles and 3 heavily loaded trips to the high country later I am even more confident,but I am still looking for a ZF just in case.
I am sure that my truck is more than the M5 was ever designed to move around so I am real easy on it and don't bang gears or dump clutches...being easy on it is still asking a lot of it,
but after the way it has behaved for me I would have a lot of confidence in one in a lighter truck.
