Need a C6 street/strip trans. for a 390. Trying to choose between a B&M or Broader Performance.

Re: 390 Trans.
I would say Broader, but why not build one yourself? Very easy to do, TransGo shift reprogrammer kit, overhaul kit and a converter should be all that you would need in a truck application. You could even buy a kit to go with torrington bearings, if you choose. Save some big $$$.

Re: 390 Trans.
Go with Bobby Fords info on the shift kit info... Trans Go modulates their shifts so when you are driving on the street under lite throttle, your shifts will not be harsh.
B&M allows harsh shifts w/o concern for throttle position...you will get firm shifts under all conditions...At least that is the way they used to work........I have removed a few of their kits because of this complaint....but not for years.........
This tranny other than the size, heavy?....is an easy unit to build.........
I have used C4's----C6's----& Chry Torque Flites as training aides when training other builders.
Only a couple of special tools, a good reference manual & patience are needed....Donnie
