72 F250 C6 390 Trans Temp and Vacuum Sender Locations

Post by JPC1972 »

I am going to add an electrical Trans temp gauge and Eletrical Vacuum Gauge. Can anyone recommend locations for teh sending units? both are npt 1/8. I was thinking of usint an autometer manifold for the trans temp but i am wondering if there is another way for the C6. The vacuum gauge is also electric so i need to tap into the manifold or find something on the manifold that is available.

The pan is the most likely place to put your temp sender.....Not the best, but it is the easiest place for install. If you are not racing , or using a hi-stall converter, or plowing snow, or towing a large load, this will be fine
The electric vacuum gauge has caught me off the shelf...........Donnie

Thanks for replying Donnie.. I have since learned that the vaccum has an adapter to plug into a vacuum hose.. so I just need to know the best place to attach it... as for the trans temp what do you think of using a manifold between the trans cooler lines? autometer sells one and i am thinking of putting together something with braided stainless hose and a manifold mounted to the apron.. here is the link to the manifold.. http://autometer.com/cat_accessoriesdetail.aspx?vid=165
