Got a 71 Camper special that has a good solid bed except for the two lower sections behind the wheels, they are actually creased see pics
I have never done any body work, mostly mechanical. I do have two repair panels that I cut off an old 67 bed to have as repair panels for mine. Now 1 have a line on a 67 camper special good body, needs floor pans though. bead seems solid, should I try and repair my bed or get the 67 and swap beds. If I get the 67, its getting parted our then scraped.
thoughts?

I'd use the 67 bed. As a side benefit you get rid of the side marker lights.

I noticed that on the 67, just like the 71 without that rear side marker light. The 67 also has the tool box in the bed, like my 71, which I love, that may become my battery box.
any others?
thanks

If you think you want to use your patch panels, you should still straighten the bent up areas before you cut them off.
Depending on how easy they move , you can make a decision to repair or replace.
